3/5 of Incubus got together on November 17 to cover a few Pink Floyd songs. I was fortunate enough to go, I mean, how could I NOT go when tickets only cost about $7. I got to The Echo around 5pm, but it took me about 20 minutes to find a safe parking spot. I parked a couple of blocks away and walked towards the line. I figure there were about 30 people in line, in front of me. But when they finally let us in, I walked toward the stage and I was only one person away from the stage. The place was really tiny. I had never seen a stage so small. We waited for about an hour, and the YES cover band began their performance. I could see Ben and Kilmore off to the side during the performance. They seemed to enjoy the show. Some fans were going up to them and asking for pictures and autographs already. After the performance, the band got all their gear off stage.

Then Mikey, Ben Kenney, Kil, Ben Einziger and a few other people started setting up their gear on stage. Mike's fiance Ann Marie Simpson played the violin, Ben Kenney was on the drums, Ben Einziger was on the bass, and Marc Weingarten was on vocals.

Setlist:
Us and Them
Money
Interstellar Overdrive
Wish You Were Here
Comfortably Numb

The show was amazing. Although it seems like a short setlist, they jammed a lot, especially Mike. Ann Marie was so fantastic on the violin as well. And it was nice to see Ben Kenney on the drums. After the show, I went around towards the "backstage" area to see if I could maybe get some autographs. They walked by a lot, but were busy putting away their gear. I could see Kil in the back room talking to someone so I waited for about 15 minutes. Ben walked out and started mingling with fans inside the little venue. For some reason, I didn't ask for his autograph, at least not yet. I waited more to see if Mike would come down, and he finally did. A few people asked for a picture with him and then it was my turn. I said, "Hi," and held up my ticket stub and sharpie for him to sign. I said, "Thanks, goodnight Mike! You guys did great," and he replied, "Thank you." I walked away and gave up on Kil to come out. So I started to look for Ben. I found him halfway outside. He was signing someone's book and seemed extra friendly that night. Right after, I said, "Hi, Ben. Can you sign my ticket stub, please?" He said, "Yes, of course. I need to get back inside though, so follow me." I followed him back inside the venue, and some other people asked him for a picture. He kind of frowned at me, but I didn't mind waiting. I said, "Go ahead!" Once he was done with them, he looked at me and said, "Thank you for being so patient." I replied, "No worries!" and gave him my sharpie and ticket stub. He found a table to sign it on, and while he was signing he asked me for my name, and I told him Claudia. He said, "Claudia? Nice to meet you, Claudia." He told me that the side of his cheek was all chewed up because he'd been chewing gum all night. I was so nervous, and it surprised me that he was trying to make small talk, so I just laughed. Last time I met him, he wasn't this talkative so it caught me off guard. I literally did not know what to say. After he finished signing, he said, "Here you go Claudia." And I said, "Thanks for always being so kind!" :D haha He said, "Thank YOU for being so patient. Goodnight." And then he rubbed my shoulder in that friendly kind of way. And then I died.

JK. After Ben, I made my way out of the venue and walked to my car. I figured Kil was probably busy. All I need left is for Jose and Kil to sign my ticket stub! I'm just happy that I have officially met every member of Incubus.

Join us in standing up for reproductive health and education. Planned Parenthood, the organization that delivers reproductive health care, sex education and information to millions of people worldwide, has come under fire in the U.S. lately, with many politicians on both state and federal level seeking to end funding (and in a few cases succeeding).

During the month of May, you can send a specially designed Planned Parenthood vgift to your friends to help support this cause. (And if you need someone to send it to, frank is always happy to receive gifts!) There are three variations ($1, $5 and $10) for you to choose from, but they'd all look good on your profile when your friends know that you stand by something so important.

Thank you all for your help in our support for Planned Parenthood. This promotion ends June 1, 2012; LiveJournal is not affiliated with Parent Parenthood. For more information about Planned Parenthood, please visit: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/

Well, nothing too exciting. I thought I'd just write about the concerts I went to in 2010, starting with Mr. John Mayer.

Glad I get to cross off the #1 person on my list, but tbh, he might also be #2.

July 13th, 2009.
Monday night was an amazing night! It was certainly sold out for a reason. It was my first time seeing them, & hopefully not the last. We were very content with our seats. Ngl, I bought myself a T-shirt and a poster. My favorite part of the night would probably be when they performed Warning. At the end of the song, Brandon made us sing the ~OHHH~ parts. And when we did, his face lit up and his smile was the icing on the cake. OR, it'd be when they ended the show with Aqueous Transmission <3 Okay, enough fangirl-ing.
